Before the Final Four, the Euroleague will announce the ten players that were chosen as the best of the season and will set up the best and second best groups of five in the tournament! As has happened for the past years, one day before the semifinals we will find out the details and the MVP!
With a combination of individual quality, effectiveness and their teams’ course in this year’s season set as the criteria, Eurohoops has chosen and presents the 10 top players of the season! We don’t think that we will have any significant differences from the league’s final official selections.

(Crvena Zvezda, Center)
It’s not common for a player to win a place in the All Euroleague Team who hasn’t played in the playoffs, but the Serb deserves it. First in assessment throughout the whole tournament, with amazing numbers and 16 double-doubles to his credit.

(Olympiacos, Power Forward)
April’s MVP and the man of the last second shots is entitled to a place in the top 10 this year. Excellent in the low post, a player for big games, enters the playoffs with an average of 12.2 points and 5 rebounds.

[lptitle title=”8. Devin Smith“]

(Maccabi, Forward)
One of the most multifaceted players in the league! Scores at crucial moments, wins a lot of rebounds, steals balls, the very definition of the ‘all around’ player of a team. If he’d had better playoffs he would be claiming a spot in the top five.

[lptitle title=”7. Rudy Fernandez“]

(Real Madrid, Forward)
Great scorer, excellent player. One of the best quality players in the league, on a good day he’s unstoppable. This year, his numbers and especially his execution rate have somewhat declined compared to last season, but he remains a top player. Nevertheless he will be judged from his overall performance in the final four.

(Fenerbahce, Guard)
Scoring machine! Formidable scorer and he has clearly demonstrated this in his very first season in the Euroleague (16.4 average). He has to develop in some areas such as creativity in order to get to that level where he’ll be able to contest the league’s MVP.
