College Life
Cory Higgins spent all 4 seasons of his college life playing for Colorado. He started as a freshman back in 2007-2008 and during the next years he expanded his game a lot becoming a very interesting player who, by the end of 2010, was being considered one of the top 50 NBA prospects. He graduated with respectable numbers which gave him the chance to fulfill his NBA dream and play 44 games with the Charlotte Hornets.
Player Profile – Gaziantep
The European experience for Cory Higgins started from Russia and Zenit St. Petersburg before he moves to Turkey and Gaziantep to show part of his skill during this season. Having scored double digits in 25 out of 27 games with his team, Cory Higgins proves that he is a scorer you can trust. Moving pretty fast on the floor with very good ball handling he is definitely a threat for the opponent defense.
His many different moves give him the opportunity to get easily to the rim or create his own shots and score after dribble. When this is not possible, he can find the unmarked teammate as Cory Higgins is an unselfish player. However, there is still room for improvement on his passing ability so that he is able to create even more for his teammates.
Defense is a part of the game that is necessary in top level like Euroleague. Cory Higgins needs to dedicate next months and work on this part of game. If he achieves to become an as good defender as he is in offense it would be great.
Future
Both a good character and player Cory Higgins can play in an even better team than Gaziantep and give solutions on the scoring load of some Euroleague level teams. He can take a transfer to higher level for a second summer in a row!
