Giannis and his brothers are setting up an example once again, this time not on the court, but outside of it. The launch of the AntetokounBros Academy will give the chance to 100 youngsters to receive scholarships in order to pay basketball and expand their horizons.
Below you can read the announcement of the Academy, brought to life by Eurohoops and Onassis Foundation, in collaboration with Nike.
“With their participation in the tournament, the athletes helped raise a notable amount of money for the AntetokounBros Academy – a two-year scholarship project by Nike for non-privileged children aged 12-16.
The Academy’s goal is to give these youngsters a chance to become better athletes and humans. The training schedule will run for two years in the courts of Ampelokipoi, Lamprini and Ellinoroson, all renovated by Nike.
Each year, 100 boys and girls will participate at high-level basketball training and mentoring in order to acquire the needed assets for their development. The participants to stand out the most will be rewarded with the “One of a Kind” academic scholarship by Onassis Foundation.
With the AntetokounBros Academy, the Antetokounmpo brothers and Nike aim to inspire the youth to get involved with sports and give back to the community, as they believe that sports have the power to bring positive change.

Giannis’ crazy dream at Sepolia
Giannis came back at Sepolia to celebrate his NBA MVP honor and his first signature shoe design with Nike.
It was there where he announced the launch of the two-year academy, hoping to inspire the youth to chase even their craziest dreams.
MVP Giannis celebrated his own crazy dream that turned to reality by coming back where he was raised, at Sepolia, in the court where he first started playing with his brother Thanassis. On the occasion of the big celebration, the whole neighborhood was present to honor Giannis and his great achievements, that he reached through constant evolution, love and passion.
Many local artists attended the big party organized by Nike afterward, including Light, ATHKids and Eleni Foureira, as well as basketball legends Vassilis Spanoulis, Thodoris Papaloukas, Nikos Zisis and coach Panagiotis Giannakis among others.
The emblematic rim that Nike installed on the top of Mount Olympus to celebrate Giannis’ crazy dream and the road to the top was transferred to Sepolia, aiming to inspire the future generations.
The neighborhood of Sepolia plays a key role in Giannis’ life, as he doesn’t forget where he comes from, and the AntetokounBros event was the best way to celebrate his big achievement with his family, the locals and the kids that took part at the AntetokounBros 3on3 tournament.”
