Eurocup teams continue their effort to build the roster and in some cases former Euroleague players are signed.
That’s what happened with Aris BC and veteran point guard Vasilis Xanthopoulos who signed a two-year deal. The Greek player is a former Euroleague champion with Panathinaikos Athens and Eurocup finalist in 2009 with Panellinios Athens.
Τhe same applies to Umana Reyer Venice which extended center Tomas Ress with a one-year deal on Friday. Ress is a veteran of 160 Euroleague games, most of them with Siena. In Germany, Bonn has a new scorer in the backcourt after signing combo-guard Rotnei Clarke to a one-year deal.
In Russia, Unics Kazan added a long distance threat to its roster, signing sharpshooter Arturas Milaknis to a two-year contract. Czech League champion CEZ Basketball Nymburk bolstered its froncourt by signing center Julian Vaughn to a one-year deal. Hapoel Jerusalem added some more scoring punch with an eye to the future by signing 21 year old shooting guard Igor Mayor to a three-year contract, while Spirou Charleroi added with one year contracts tje big men Seamus Boxley and Jordan Heath.
