In what may turn out to be a calculated gamble, German champion Brose Baskets signed rookie center Gabe Olaseni, who was the Big Ten Sixth Man of the Year last season at the University of Iowa.
The 23 years old big man who was born in London, England, will have the chance to compete in Euroleague after not getting drafted by the NBA. He tried to get noticed in the summer league as a member of the Miami Heat and Brose Baskets decided to sign him. In recent years players comming straight from the NCAA don’t have the easiest time to adapt in the top level of Europe, still Brose Baskets has a habbit of getting the right talent the right moment.
