ALBA Berlin added size and experience in the frontcourt with the signing of veteran big man Kresimir Loncar for the upcoming season, the club announced Thursday.
Loncar (2.10 meters, 32 years old) arrives from Valencia Basket, where last season he had 5.8 points and 2.6 rebounds during the Turkish Airlines Euroleague regular season, and 8.6 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.1 assists in Valencia’s run to the Eurocup quarterfinals.
Previously in his career, Loncar spent eight seasons in Russia, including four with Khimki Moscow Region, helping the club win the 2012 Eurocup. Alba also recently added Marc Liyanage (1.98 meters, 25 years old) from fellow German side Mitteldeutscher BC
