Dinamo Banco di Sardegna Sassari bolstered its frontcourt by inking big man Gabe Olaseni to a one-year deal on Wednesday. Olaseni (2.10 meters, 24 years old) arrives from Giessen 46ers, where he averaged 11.7 points and 7 rebounds in 24 German League games last season. He started the 2015-16 season with Brose Baskets Bamberg, averaging 2.4 points and 2.8 rebounds in 5 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague games before joining Giessen.
Nizhny Novgorod improved its backcourt for the foreseeable future by signing guard Ingus Jakovics to a two-year deal on Wednesday. Jakovics (1.86 meters, 23 years old) arrives from VEF Riga, where he averaged 6.9 points and 1.9 assists in 28 Latvian League games last season, helping his team reach the final. He has spent his whole career in Latvia, starting it with ASK/Buki Gulbene and also playing for BAA Riga and Liepajas Lauvas before joining VEF. Jakovics has been a member of the Latvian national team and played at the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament this summer.
Also as Misko Raznatovic announced that 32 years old Engin Atsur will continue his career in Germany for Alba Berlin, after leaving Besiktas.
