Gran Canaria officially announced their first signing for the upcoming season with the addition of American swingman Royce O’ Neale.
A graduate of Baylor University, O’ Neale averaged 10 point, 5.8 rebounds and 3.4 assists in his senior year. The 23-year old player began his professional career last season in Germany, playing for Ludwigsburg, scoring 8.1 points and grabbing 4.5 rebounds per game in Eurocup. He recorded 8.6 points and 4.6 rebounds per game in Beko BBL.
O’ Neale participated in the 2016 NBA Summer League averaging 9.7 points, 6 rebounds 1.7 assists, playing for the Golden State Warriors and the L.A. Clippers.
