After being released by Olympiacos, Greek center Vassilis Kavvadas found the new station of his career in Aris Thessaloniki. The club officially announced the signing of a player to a two-year deal.
Kavvadas played for Arkadikos in the previous season of the Greek Basket League, on a loan by Olympiacos. He averaged 14.8 points and 6.4 rebounds per game.
The 25-year old center knew that he couldn’t find the playing time he desired if he stayed in the Reds, so leaving the team was his decision as well. In Aris he will most likely have a big and quite active role, perhaps as the team’s starting center in both the Basket League and the FIBA Champions League.
