Avtodor Saratov brings the first Venezuelan basketball player ever in the history of VTB League! The Russian club announced the signing of small forward Michael Carrera with a 1+1 deal, which includes an NBA opt out clause after the following season.
This will be the first station in Cerrera’s professional career. He comes from the University of South Carolina with which he averaged 14.5 points plus 7.7 rebounds during his senior year.
He participated in the NBA Summer League tournaments of Orlando and Las Vegas with the Miami Heat, scoring 5.3 points and grabbing 3.6 rebounds per game.
Apart from VTB, Carrera will also participate in the FIBA Champions League with his new team.
