Young gun Petar Popovic started last season with a three year deal in Greece with Nea Kifisia. However, with the team having financial issues and being relegated to the third division, Popovic has a deal with Buducnost.
The Montenegrin 20 years old scorer returned to his home country with a new three year contract after ginishing the season in Serbia with Mega Leks.
Popovic was a member of the junior national teams of Montenegro. He won the gold medal at the 2013 FIBA Europe Under-18 Championship Division B with Montenegro. He has also played at the 2015 FIBA Europe Under-20 Championship Division B and at the 2014 FIBA Europe Under-18 Championship.
