Avellino may have found the player who will replace James Nunnally. American swingman Adonis Thomas signed with the Italian club for next season and he will play both in Legabasket and the FIBA Champions league.
The 23 years old Thomas (1.98 m.) so far played mainly in the NBADL and also for some games in the Orlando Magic and the Philadelphia 76ers. He is the last addition in Abellino’s roster and it remains to be seen if he can emerge as one of the leaders of the team, despite his young age and the fact that he has no prior experience in Europe.
