Andrei Kirilenko was waived on Saturday from the Sixers and CSKA Moscow is already waiting him, just in the nick of time at the end of Euroleague’s transfers period. With a 3,3 m. US dollars buy out from the NBA, the Russian basketball icon is ready to return to Europe in order to get an other chance in winning the continent’s top crown.
As Eurohoops had reported since December, CSKA was eyeing for a long time a possible return of Kirilenko, specially with Viktor Khryapa in danger of missing the season. And now, when Kirilenko clears weavers, CSKA is expected to announce his return, with a contract until the summer of 2015.
