According to Spanish newspaper “El Mundo Deportivo” Alex Abrines has already signed a new four years contract extension which can keep him to Barcelona until 2019.
Abrines was long rumored to be in negotiations for an extension as the Spanish club wants to keep him as long as possible and make him the heir of Juan Carlos Navarro. However the new contract, like the previous one, will include NBA buy out clause for every summer, still with Barcelona investing on him it’s a sure bet that it will be very difficult for Oklahoma City to lure the player who was picked in the number 32 of the 2013 draft. Keeping Abrines is a priority for Barcelona specially with Mario Hezonja entering the draft and probably leaving.
