Not a pretty night for the Chicago Bulls but at least Nikola Mirotic’s game was a thing of beauty. Although his team fell short against the New York Knicks (losing 115 – 107), the international Spaniard dropped a career-high of 35 points shooting with 10/17, including 9/13 from downtown.
Apart from improving his personal best in scoring, Mirotic tied the Bulls franchise record for most three-pointers made in a single game. The record was initially set by Ben Gordon who accomplished such a feat twice in 2006.
The 25-year old power forward also tied the all time NBA record for more baskets scored from behind the arc by a substitute player, in a losing game, according to Elias Sports Bureau.
