Just several days ago, Kyrylo Fesenko cut a disappointed picture after a 4-point, 6-rebound effort for Sidigas Avellino in a narrow home defeat to Iberostar Tenerife.
What might he have done better to have prevented the 76-75 loss on home soil? A lot. On Tuesday night, he made amends, wreaking havoc and showing why the Italian club decided to bring him to Avellino this season for the club’s Basketball Champions League campaign.
The 29-year-old center dominated in the Baltics, leading Sidigas Avellino to an 85-75 triumph over Juventus Utena.
Fesenko finished with 25 points, 13 rebounds and an eye-popping efficiency rating of +35. All three were season highs for the Ukraine giant, who not surprisingly has scooped the honor as MVP of the Week.
