A seriously unsportsmanlike behavior was witnessed during a game between Caen and Souffel for France’s third division league.
When Caen head coach Herve Coudray saw Julien Delmas of Souffel trying to save a possession of his team by preventing the ball from getting out of bounds, he thought that it’d be good idea to stop him by… shoulder-tackling him and throwing him on the floor.
The funny (or sad perhaps) thing is that coach Coudray turned to the referee saying that he didn’t do anything. Perhaps he was rather convincing, since Delmas was the one to receive a technical foul for the way he reacted afterwards towards Coudray, instead of Caen’s coach who should have been punished.
Apart from Caen, Coudray is also the head coach of the French national U19 team.
