LeBron James continues to eliminate doubters with his preposterous performances night in and night out.
Even though comparing him to Michael Jordan is a mistake due to his size, skillset, style of play and era, James is making a case for himself and when it’s all set and done, some may argue that he’s the best to ever play the game.
After a discouraging display by the supporting cast in round one against the Pacers, LeBron literally carried his team to the second round and that surely awoke his teammates who were much better against Toronto compared to Indiana.
After a tight game one victory, LeBron put on a show in game two and displayed an aspect of his game that not many knew he had.
Tough turn-around fade-away jumpers is what most coaches would have him do when developing a game-plan.
Throughout his career, James has been best when attacking the basket with his jump shot being “the weaker link”.
After hitting those shots James credited coach Casey, an assistant back then in Dallas, due to his defensive approach in the 2011 NBA Finals: “I wasn’t that good of a player… I wasn’t a complete basketball player. Dwane Casey drew up a gameplan to take away things I was good at & make me do things I wasn’t very good at. He’s part of the reason why I am who I am today.”
Media, players and fans were stunned by his display, but he wasn’t done. In game three, LeBron hit a tough floater drifting to his left to win the game, something no one really knew was in his arsenal.
After easily winning game four, the Cavs now await their opponent in the Eastern Conference finals and one must wonder what else does the King have in his bag of tricks…
