Sam Dekker posted a double-double of 26 points and 11 rebounds as Lokomotiv Kuban beat Kalev Tallinn 98 – 81 on the road in VTB League. This was one of the very few games played around Europe due to the coronavirus epidemic and it was held behind closed doors.
It was one of the top performances of the season for Dekker who came one point short of tying his season-high. The American forward shot 9-12 en route to scoring 26 points during the 32:22 minutes he stayed on the court.
Alan Wiliams had a double-double of his own after notching 15 points and 11 rebounds. Grigory Motovilov added 16 points for Lokomotiv that improved to 14 – 6 with this win.
Janari Joesaar had 18 points for Kalev Tallinn. The Estonian side is now 8 – 12.
VTB, along with the Turkish BSL League and the Israeli Winner League, is the only major European basketball championship to still hold games. All other leagues have suspended all action.
