John Brown meant business for UNICS Kazan in the away win, 91-66, versus Nizhny Novgorod on Saturday. The 28-year-old American forward poured a season-best 24 points making 11/17 two-pointers. He also registered six rebounds, four steals, and two assists.
Isaiah Canaan added 16 points and Jamar Smith had 11 points. John Holland and Georgy Zhbanov put up ten apiece. Kasey Shepherd and Evgeny Baburin led the hosts with a team-high 14 points each.
The VTB United League win marked the seventh straight in all competitions for the team coached by Dimitris Priftis. The streak launched in late December includes five wins at the VTB level and improved the overall tally to 10-4.
Zenit Saint-Petersburg at 11-1 sits on top of the table. Second-placed CSKA Moscow currently holds a 10-2 record.
