Zielona guard Marco Iffe Lundberg has reportedly attracted the attention of a couple of clubs around Europe thanks to his performances with the Polish side. While the player said he’s flattered with the interest, his current focus is helping his current team reach its goals.
“It doesn’t distract me to be honest. It only motivates me,” Lundberg said to Vladimir Spivak. “That’s what we all play for. To be recognized for what we do. It’s a blessing, it’s an honor. In my case I’m here with Zielona Gora and I’m just playing and I really just focus on winning as many games as possible and we’ll see what happens at the end of the season”
“But of course it’s always nice to be wanted,” Lundberg added.
Lundberg is the second-top scorer among active players in VTB with 19.9 points per game. The Danish player also averages 5.3 assists.
