Errick McCollum scored 38 points and dished out eight assists as Lokomotiv Kuban beat Tsmoki Minsk 92 – 87 to grab its first win of the season in VTB League.
McCollum shot 6-7 on 2-pointers and 6-9 on threes along with 8-10 free throws to register his second-highest scoring performance in Europe after a 40-point game he had when back in 2011 with Israeli Second Division Team Hapoel Kfar Saba. The American guard’s overall offensive record is the 82 points he scored in China in 2015 with the Zhejiang Golden Bulls.
Jonathan Motley added 19 points plus nine rebounds for Loko while Stanton Kidd had 13 points and six rebounds and Darius Thompson logged 13 points plus six assists.
Angelo Warner produced 29 points, six rebounds and six assists for Tsmoki.
