Sergey Karasev scored 25 points and Billy Baron added 22 points as Zenit St. Petersburg got the easy 97-80 win 0ver Zielona Gora. Dragan Apic scored 17 points for the losing side which trailed by 16 points (32-16) at the end of the first quarter and couldn’t recover until the end.
On the other Monday game, Nizhny Novgorod got the 79-65 win over PARMA with Ivan Strebkov leading the way with 23 points.
Zenit is currently on the second spot of the standings with a 4-1 record, just behind UNICS (5-1) which beat CSKA Moscow, while Avtodor (4-1) and CSKA (4-2) follow in the top four positions.
