CSKA Moscow is back to business with their first win for 2022 in a spectacular fashion. The Army Team took down Avtodor 92-65 at home to win their fourth straight game in the VTB League.
Tornike Shengelia led all scorers of the game with 18 points for CSKA, Johannes Voigtmann added 14 points and Marius Grigonis had 11 points.
DJ Funderburk and Evgeniy Minchenko paced the Avtodor squad with 11 and 10 points respectively.
CSKA got a headstart into the game with a 23-17 lead after the first quarter and never looked back, to hand Avtodor their first defeat after seven victories in a row. Both teams now share an 8-2 record, in a three-team tie (with UNICS Kazan) for the top of the VTB League standings.
Later on Tuesday, Parma took down Zenit with a 77-67 victory at home, their third in a row.
Jeremiah Hill led the way for the hosts with 19 points, while Eigirdas Žukauskas contributed 18 points.
Billy Baron had 15 points for Zenit and Jordan Loyd finished the game with 11. The St. Petersburg side falls to a 7-3 record in the standings and remains fourth in the VTB.
