CSKA Moscow‘s guards had everything under control against Lokomotiv Kuban and led the team to a 91-71 win in the VTB League.
Daniel Hackett and Alexey Shved scored 15 points each with the latter also dishing out ten assists. Nikola Milutinov followed up with 13 points and eight rebounds while Marius Grigonis scored 12.
For Lokomotiv, Errick McCollum scored 13 in addition to Zakhar Vedishchev’s 11 and Vladislav Emchenko’s ten points.
With this win, CSKA improved to 11-4 and currently sits in fourth spot, two winds behind the first-placed UNICS (13-2). Lokomotiv holds a 6-6 record and is sixth.
Nizhny is right behind with 5-7 after the loss to Avtodor Saratov which improved to 9-3 and is third. Jaron Johnson scored game-high 25 points in Saratov’s 83-70 win.
Philip Scrubb added 16 and Zeljko Sakic ten points. On the opposing side, Anton Astapkovich had 11 points, eight boards and 21 index rating while Sergey Toropov scored 14 points.
