As PBC CSKA Moscow officially announced, Alexey Shved was attacked by a hooligan on Monday night.
The attack was committed while a CSKA Moscow player was leaving one of the Moscow restaurants, and Shved suffered a serious head injury as a result of a fall.
The 34-year-old Russian player was taken to the hospital by ambulance and contacted the police to investigate the incident.
Due to the injury, Shved will not be able to participate in the team’s next matches in a VTB third-place playoff series.
Shved rejoined CSKA in 2021 and, during the regular season in the VTB League, averaged 17 points and 7,8 assists, and 15 points with 8,1 assists in the playoffs. The Moscow team got eliminated after seven games in the semifinals by PBC Lokomotiv Kuban.
