CSKA Moscow prevailed over Crvena Zvezda 94 – 92 on the second day of the VTB League SuperCup tournament.
Melo Trimble had 21 points for CSKA while Aleksa Avramovic put on 16 points. Casper Ware added 14 points.
Isaiah Canaan and Uros Plavisic scored 21 points apiece for Zvezda.
In the other game held Thursday (12/9) for the tournament, Zenit St. Petersburg beat Besiktas 83-80 thanks to Dwayne Bacon (21 points, five rebounds) and Xavier Moon (21 points, five assists).
Jonah Mathews led Besiktas with 17 points.
On Friday, Crvena Zvezda will face Lokomotiv Kuban while Unics Kazan will play against Zenit.
