Only one game now remains for the regular season of the VTB League to end, and it is going to be a derby for the third place between Lokomotiv Kuban and Zenit St. Petersburg.
With the guns of Anthony Randolph still blazing after the Euroleague game against Barcelona, Lokomotiv Kuban did its job versus VEF to climb in the third place of the standings. However to remain there, the team from Krasnodar must close the regular season with a win vs Zenit. Otherwise they will fall to the fifth place.
Zenit got an impressive victory over Unics Kazan. Coach Karasev’s players performed beautiful basketball against an indifferent, yet always strong opponent. A performance that they will want to repeat against Lokomotiv on Thursday, in order clinch the third place at the end of the regular season.
