The VTB League made public the budgets of the Russian teams competing in the championship. As you would have expected, CSKA Moscow has the top budget, while the other two teams that participate in this season’s Euroleague, Khimki Moscow and Lokomotiv Kuban are next in the list.
Honorary President of the VTB United League Sergei Ivanov announced the numbers in a special meeting with the media in the Kremlin. With that been said, CSKA Moscow‘s bugdet, despite being probably the biggest in Europe for one more year, is five million euros less than last year’s number.
Here are the Russian clubs budgets in VTB League:
CSKA Moscow: €37.08M
Khimki: €21.96M
Lokomotiv-Kuban: €14.81M
UNICS Kazan: €10.72M
Zenit St. Petersburg: €7.47M
Nizhny Novgorod: €4.75M
Enisey: €3.36M
Avtodor Saratov: €2.78M
Krasny Oktyabr: €1.67M
Important note: These numbers describe the total expenses of each team and not the money spent on transfers for players/coaches.
