Arturs Stalbergs is the new coach of Nizhny Novgorod

The former assistant of Nizhny Novgorod, Arturs Stalbergs, is the new coach. After the decision of Ainars Bagatskis to leave the team, his assistant for the past two seasons is the new head coach.

Stalbergs is getting his big break after starting his career in his home country, Latvia, as a coach back in 2010 at “Liepajas Lauvas” club. Between 2012 and 2014 he worked as an assistant in the BK “Nikolaev” (Ukraine). He returned at the end of the season 2013-2014 spent in “Valmiera” (Latvia) and then ge received an invitation from Bagatskis to become his assistant.

I’d like to thank the management of the club for the chance they gave to me”, said Stalbergs to the official website of Nizhny. I’m glad to start as a head coach in Nizhny Novgorod and I think that my decision to stay here is the most important in my career.
