First-placed CSKA Moscow faced absolutely no problem at home in the first quarterfinals clash against Astana and prevailed 77-54.
After taking over the first period with 29-9, the hosts had a clear advantage in the game. Astana’s defense wasn’t able to stop Vitaly Fridzon, who was the leading scorer of the game with 18 points.
Not only that, but CSKA had 3 more players in double-digit figures: Nando De Colo with 13, Cory Higgins with 11 and Aaron Jackson with 10.
Game 2 between the two teams will take place on Sunday, once again in Moscow.
