Lokomotiv Kuban had no problem beating Nizhniy Novgorod 94 – 64 at home to grab its second victory in three games of the season so far.
Coming off the bench Joe Ragland scored a game-high 16 points. He also had 6 rebounds and 3 assists.
It was a one-way situation from the start as the host took a 23-14 lead in the first quarter and never looked back. It was a triumph of team-effort for coach Sasa Obradovic‘s players since they recorded 23 assists.
The game was over by the halftime as Nizhny (51-33) had no real response to the Loko’s offense. In the second half, the home team just continued to share the ball well, torching Nizhniy’s defense and increasing their lead with a scoring festival. With this defeat, Nizhny fell to a 1-2 record.
Avtodor Saratov hosted BC Kalev today as well. It was a close game in which Avtodor was able to win 82-77 thanks to Justin Robinson who had 21 points and 6 assists.
