Unics managed to make it a one-point game (77-76) after a big three by Anton Ponkrashov and a goal-foul by Melvin Ejim. With 14 seconds left, Alexey Shved made two free throws (79-76), however, Colom stole the ball and the show.
The Spaniard had in total 18 points, while Stephan Lasme and Ejim added 16 points each led a balanced team effort.
Shved with 23 points in the first three quarters and 28 in total was not enough. Antony Gill added 20 points for Unics.
After this result, Unics Kazan has a 6-0 record and remains second in the standings. CSKA Moscow remains on the top (7-0) in the VTB League, while Khimki dropped to 4-3.
