Zenit improved its record in VTB League to 7-1 after defeating Avtodor Saratov 107 – 92 on the road.
Coach Vasily Karasev saw his major stars contributing heavily. Kyle Kuric scored a game-high 22 points with 5/7 3s, Sergey Karasev and Drew Gordon added 20 points apiece while Demonte Harper did everything on offense with 19 points plus 8 assists.
Brander Frazier had an all-around output of a 22 points game-high, 5 assists and 4 rebounds, Coty Clarke posted 19 points and 8 rebounds while Artem Klimenko scored 15 for Avtodor. Yet the team’s defense was unable to pull any stops against Zenit’s might and Avtodor now stands at a 4-4 record.
Earlier, Enisey crushed Parma 96 – 77 behind 29 points and 9 rebounds by Anthony Hilliard plus 24 points courtesy of Zabian Dowdell.
Enisey is 2-5 while Parma dropped to 2-7.
