Mardy Collins and Frank Elegar combined for 47 points as Lokomotiv Kuban beat Zenit St. Petersburg 87 – 84 to improve its VTB League to 8-1.
Collins finished with 26 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists while scoring the last points of his team including the decisive basket for the 87 – 84.
Previously, Elegar had put his team up 83 – 82 making his own points 21 He also contributed 15 rebounds.
Sergey Karasev had an all-around output of 16 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists while Marko Simonovic also scored 17 for Zenit that is now 7-2.
