Unics defeated Astana Kazakhstan on the road in overtime, 78-73.
The key: Astana’s Justin Carter missed a chance to win the game in regulation, connecting on one of two free throws with the home team trailing by a point. In the extra five minutes, Anton Ponkrashov knocked down a pair of triples, Quino Colom added one and the visitors held on for until the end.
The stars: Jamar Smith led the winners with 20 points, Stephane Lasme followed with 14.
Parma escaped with a 88-73 win against Nizhny Novgorod, as Tre’ McLean finished with 17 points for the visiting side.
Kalev beat VEF Riga at home with 98-94 in the final game of the day.
