Kalev beat Khimki at home in the VTB League 92-84 despite Alexey Shved’s great game. Shved scored 3o points and add 6 assists, but that didn’t cut it for Khimki.
Kalev was up by 19 points after the first 20 minutes of the game thanks to the second quarter in which the partial score was 29-14 in their favor.
Khimki tied to fight back in the second half, but they didn’t have enough power for a comeback. They were able to win the third (19-16) and fourth (27-19) quarter, but the final result was 92-84 for Kalev.
Thomas van der Mars led the winners with 15 points and Bojan Subotic followed him with 14 points and 7 rebounds. Kalev now moved up to a 3-8 record and Khimki fall to a 6-4.
