Lokomotiv Kuban shocked CSKA in the VTB League 90-79 thanks to the last quarter. It was a close game from wire to wire with the guests smiling at the end.
The visiting squad was up by five (62-57) before the final ten minutes of the match. They stayed focused until the end as they won the last period 28-22 and closed the game in the right way.
Dmitry Kulagin led Lokomotiv with 17 points and Frank Elegar added 14. Nando De Colo tried to save CSKA with 17 points, but his team was trailing the whole time and they were down by 41-37 after the first half. The “Army team” now stand on a 10-1 record as this was their first loss in the VTB League this season as Lokomotiv moved up to a 9-1.
Earlier today Kalev upset Khimki at home and Unics Kazan beat Enisey.
