Lokomotiv Kuban is on a roll and they don’t have plans to stop. They recorded their ten straight win the VTB League and twenty-third victory in the row in all competitions, after taking down Khimki at home 93-78.
The team coached by Sasa Obradovic made the crucial lead during the third quarter. After a close first half in which Loko built a small lead (46-44) things changed in the third period. Khimki pushed hard for a comeback down the last stretch cutting the lead to just 4 points (80-76). However, the hosts didn’t allow Khimki to complete the comeback closing the game.
Mardy Collins was unstoppable tonight as he put an all-rounder. He finished the game with 22 points, 10 assists and 7 boards earning 31 in PIR.
As usually, Alexey Shved was the number one in Khimki with 18 points, but tonight that didn’t clinch it.
With this win, Lokomotiv moved up to an 11-1 record and stayed at top of the standing while Khimki falls to 6-5.
