The hosts got the 84-79 win while Khimki traveled to Kazakhstan with ten players in its roster and coach Giorgos Bartzokas used nine of them. Thomas Robinson was also missing, Egor Vialtsev scored 17 points but it was not enough.

Astana got the lead from the first half and never lost it. Malcolm Grant and Ike Udanoh scored 16 points each, Greek forward Leonidas Kaselakis added 15 and the hosts got a crucial win.

Khimki remains sixth in the league standings with a mediocre 9-8 record, while Astana is seventh for the moment, but has just a 6-10 record.
