Unics Kazan struggled against Astana for three quarters, though after all prevailed 90-75 at home.
Quino Colom led his team with 18 points, six assists and one rebound, while Stephane Lasme was one rebound shy from a double-double, with 13 points.
With a 12-1 run early in the final period, Unics bounced back in the game and defended its second place in the VTB League standings. Things are now even tougher for the Kazakh team, as they are far off the playoffs’ picture with a 6-15 record.
