Zenit Saint Petersburg won against Kalev Tallinn 85-80 in a very tough match which was decided in the last minute. After this win, Zenit is third with a 14-5 record while Kalev stayed at the bottom with 6-17.
With one minute left, the score was tied at 78 but Marko Simonovic made a three-point shot to give his team the lead. Kalev answered with a two-pointer and it came down to free throws. Although Zenit scored only four out of eight free throws, good defense secured the victory in the end.
Sergey Karasev led the winning side with 22 points while Demonte Harper added 17. On the other side, Bojan Subotic and Isaiah Briscoe both scored a game-high 24 points but it wasn’t enough to change the outcome.
