It was a close call in the VTB League MVP race for April and Avtador Saratov’s Coty Clarke was chosen before Nando De Colo (CSKA Moscow) and Stefan Markovic (Khimki Moscow Region), as was announced on the league’s official website.
Clarke led his team to four out of five wins in April with an average of 26.4 points, 9.6 rebounds, 3 assists and a 30.2 efficiency rating. He recorded 36 points with 17 rebounds and a total rating of 45 against PARMA to set his career highs in the league.
“I want to thank God and the VTB League. April was a special month for Avtodor. Thank you to the fans, my teammates, coaching staff. This award is a shared accomplishment. I hope we keep playing well in the playoffs.”, Clarke said to VTB after receiving the award.
