Lokomotiv Kuban registered by far the most impressive win in the first day of the VTB United League. “Loko” beat Zenit St. Petersburg 96-64 and shocked the guests.
Six players of the hosts scored in double digits with Dima Kulagin leading the race with 14 points, the trio of Dorell Wright, Isaiah Whitehead and JaJuan Johnson added 12 points each, Vitaly Fridzon had 11 and Jamel McLean (photo) scored 10.
Against this impressive team effort, Brandon Jennings – just days after his impressive EuroCup performance – had 15 points, but couldn’t make a difference with Zenit making just 4/17 threes.
