Isaiah Whitehead put on an all-around performance pushing Lokomotiv Kuban to an 88-75 win against Nizhny Novgorod on the road in VTB League.
Whitehead used his 24 minutes on the floor in the best way possible. He scored 23 points (9/14 from the field) while adding four assists and two rebounds. He was also helping on the defensive end as he stole the ball three times. Dmitriy Kulagin scored 14 points for Lokomotiv while on the other side, Ivan Strebkov answered with 14 as well.
Despite a fairly balanced first quarter (26-25), Lokomotiv managed to make some distance and go on the halftime rest with a 49-41 lead. They kept the distance after the break leading by a double-digit margin most of the time and securing the win.
