In a clash between two undefeated VTB League teams, Alexey Shved scored 24 points and dished out five assists as Khimki Moscow beat Unics Kazan 78 – 65 at home.
Khimki was superior in the third period which Giorgos Bartzokas dominated with a decisive 27 – 14 to march to the fourth quarter 59 – 43. Unics was unable to overcome that deficit, losing the match and dropping to 3- 1 while their opponents improved to 5-0.
Only Errick McCollum and Jamar Smith scored in double figures for Unics with 12 points apiece. The latter also had five rebounds.
Apart from Shved, Tony Crocker posted 13 points and six rebounds and Jordan Mickey scored 13.
