Unics Kazan saw a 12-point lead (53-65) getting evaporated in the final minutes of the game vs. Zenit St. Petersburg but ultimately got a 77 – 74 win on the road and improved to 7-1.
Pierria Henry was the one to hand victory to Unics by scoring 3/4 free throws in the last seconds. Phil Scrubb committed a turnover with the score 74 – 75 and then Sergey Karasev missed the shot to tie the game. Thus Zenit dropped to 5 – 3.
Apart from scoring the last points of his team to finish with 10, Henry had team-highs eight rebounds and five assists. Jamar Smith had 18 points and Errick McCollum 14 for Unics.
Jalen Reynolds led Zenit with 16 points and 12 rebounds while Evgeny Voronov scored 14.
