Sergio Rodriguez nailed seven triples on his way to game-high 26 points as CSKA Moscow got an 85-80 road win against Kalev in VTB League.
Rodriguez also added three assists while Nando De Colo registered 14 points and six assists in addition to Alec Peters’ ten points. For Kalev, Chavaughn Lewis flirted with a double-double as he dropped 16 points and nine assists while Janari Joesaar helped with 14 points.
Kalev held a minimal 20-19 advantage after the first quarter but CSKA quickly took over and went on the halftime break with a 47-40 lead. They kept going leading by as much as 14 points (73-59) early in the final period and although the hosts tried to come back (80-76), it was too late to change the outcome.
CSKA stayed perfect and alone on the top with an 11-0 record while Kalev stands at 5-7.
