Kendrick Perry scored a season-high 27 points and dished out eight assists to lead Nizhny Novgorod past Unics Kazan 91 – 85 at home.
This win improved Nizhny to 7 – 7 and kept them in the VTB League’s playoff spots. Unics dropped third with an 11-3 record.
Nizhny outplayed Unics 38 – 25 in the third period to overcome a 31 – 38 halftime deficit and take the lead. Perry dropped 17 points in the quarter to put his team up 69 – 63. The hosts never looked back.
Errick McCollum scored 18 points while Melvin Ejim posted a double-double of 14 points and 10 rebounds for Unics. Christopher Czerapowics added 15 points for Nizhny.
