Lokomotiv Kuban hires Bob Donewald Jr. as head coach

Lokomotiv Kuban announced that Bob Donewald Jr. has been appointed the team’s new head coach.  Donewald replaces Vlada Jovanovic who parted ways with the Russian club.

Donewald previously coached in Europe at the bench of the Leicester Riders in England. He carries a three-year experience in the NBA as assistant coach of the Charlotte Hornets, New Orleans Hornets, and the Cleveland Cavaliers.

In 2016-2017, Donewald was the head coach of Chinese CBA club Jilin Northeast Tigers. From 2010 to 2012 he was also the head coach of the Chinese national team.

WIth Lokomotiv Kuban, Donewald will debut in VTB League, one of the most prominent European championships.
